One woman. Every instrument you hear.
Emily Spiller is an award-winning vocalist, songwriter, and live looping solo artist from Vancouver Island, Canada. Using a loop station, she builds full arrangements live in front of the audience — layering vocals, percussion, and melody into something that sounds like a band, made by one person in real time.
She has toured internationally, opening for artists including DubFX, Kim Churchill, and Kytami, and has performed at festivals across Canada, Australia, and New Zealand — including Big Time Out and Rhythm on the Rock. Earlier chapters include performing in a cover band in Macau, China, and ten years playing saxophone.
Her music has been licensed to film and television. In 2015 she starred in and wrote the track for a Jeep commercial. She has performed at two TEDx events, reached the semi-finals of The Great Canadian Music Dream, and was named Female Vocalist of the Year at the 2011 Vancouver Island Music Awards.
